In 2024, coffee officially became part of the IM CAKE menu.
For us, it was not about adding a random new category.
It was about making the bakery experience feel more complete.
1. Why coffee?
Customers buying bread, scones and desserts kept asking the same question:
“Do you have coffee?”
So instead of sending them somewhere else, we decided to make coffee part of the shop.
2. Why start with Americano and latte?
We kept the first coffee menu simple:
- Americano
- latte
They are familiar, easy to understand and work with a wide range of bakery items.
3. How do they pair with baked goods?
Latte works well with:
- plain scones
- toast
- sweet breads
Americano works well with:
- chocolate cake
- richer desserts
- sweeter breads
For a simple afternoon snack, these two already cover most situations.
4. From cake shop to a more complete neighborhood bakery
IM CAKE began with birthday cakes, then gradually added:
- bread
- desserts
- milk tea
- coffee
We want the shop to fit into ordinary days too — not only birthdays.
